Sting was interviewed this morning on KFOG-FM in San Francisco, and when questioned about his upcoming plans Sting mentioned a new album to be released around Christmas of this year. Sting went on to say the new release was “difficult to describe” but would not be a traditional Sting pop album, and he said this Christmas release would be about the winter. After that, Sting said he would begin working on what he called a regular Sting record.
I’m left wondering what “about the winter” and “not a Sting album” mean? My first thought is the lute? Will this winter-themed Christmas album be another lute album? And will it be holiday or Christmas songs? Sting was very vague, so I’m left with lots of questions, but can’t wait to find out what this is all about! I think Sting already has a winter album though, isn’t “Mercury Falling” a winter album?

I heard a song sung by Sting I had never heard before. It was from a cd with Turtles or Turtle in the title. Would you happen to know the Cd and the correct name? I would like to get it. I tried to google it and I got several places including here on your web site.
I love Sting. But I am not able to buy every CD nor do I know them all.. My son got me an I Pod so I could download songs from I Tunes (and pay for them of course.) But I tried and couldnt figure out how to catorgorize the songs, or mix them when I didn’t want to listen to just one artisit so I just gave up. Bad me I did that several years ago (gave up,). My son gave up on me too LOL. He just said I was born to long ago to get this, so just keep playing my 78′s…Hes out of the country, so hard for him to help me.

I saw an interveiw over the holidays and Sting was asked what the most outrageous gift he ever got was for Christmas. He said Trudy had a skating rink put in their back yard. He said that was crazy but allot of fun. I bet and expensive..Hes so very talented and I do so love his lyrics (even for an old lady).
Hi Saundra, you must have heard a song from The Dream of the Blue Turtles, Sting’s first solo album released in 1985. As for the song, I can’t help you with that unless you give me some more information. Take a listen on iTunes, and you should be able to come up with the song you heard. Hope this helps and good luck!
