With the Twilight movie starting Friday and the Rick Springfield concert on Sunday, I just realized this is a great weekend of entertainment for women in Springfield, Illinois!

Twilight is supposed to be big with teen girls and women up to the age of 50. I must admit, my twelve year old daughter is just DYING to see Twilight and is counting down the hours and minutes now. She even tried to convince me to take her to the midnight show tonight! That’s not going to happen, but we are going to see this movie soon. My daughter sucked me into the books and they read very quickly, so I’ve already read all 4 of them. Yeah, I’ll admit it, I’m looking forward to this movie too!

And Rick Springfield? Anybody out there seen him recently or heard his new album “Venus In Overdrive”? He looks pretty darn good and the album rocks pretty good, so I expect a lot of screaming female fans at the show Sunday night, me included! Women are from venus you know, and this weekend is overdrive!
