The last year and a half has been a wild ride for me, starting with the rumors of a reunion on New Year’s Day 2007, followed by my last second trip to see the Police Rehearsals and announcement of the tour at the Whisky a Go Go in LA, then the Police shows I saw last summer in St. Louis and Chicago at Wrigley Field. The tour finished up for me with the performance I saw in Chicago on May 10, 2008 at Allstate Arena. It was a great show and the Police seemed to me to be even more in synch with each other as they played, their performance was better than the shows I saw last year! It did seem that Sting was nursing his voice throughout the show, spraying and gargling as the lights went down between the songs. But it didn’t detract one bit from the power of their show, and the audience was more than willing to help Sting out by singing along or instead of him in some instances, and it was so much fun to sing all my favorite Police songs along with 20,000 fans.

I have had a blast, been able to meet and celebrate with a bunch of really fun and interesting Police fans, and see my favorite band of all time reunite and perform together again! I really can’t ask for anything more. I want to thank Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers for coming together and allowing Police fans like myself to have some closure. Yes, it is over now, but I’ve seen them perform together again and can now accept the end. Sting, Stewart and Andy can now all move on, and so can I. Thanks, guys, YOU ROCK!

I was thrilled to see the new songs performed in Chicago, my favorite of which was definitely “Bring On The Night”. I had really missed that song last year on the tour.
