Kids Are Embarrassing

Attending my regular church service Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm, I was reminded how embarrassing children can be to their parents. A lovely family of six seated in the front row was given the honor of bringing up the gifts. The youngest son however, was sound asleep when it came time for the [...]

Check Out The B52s Funplex!

I adore the B52s music. It was a big part of my high school days and immediately conjures images of fun and dancing for me. I screamed the lyrics to QUICHE LORRAINE while driving DIRTY BACK ROADS in my own PRIVATE IDAHO like there was a DEVIL IN MY CAR, if you know [...]

American Idol Brooke White Duet With John Mayer?

I think the questions on the elimination show are silly overall, but I liked the quesiton that Brooke White was asked last night “If you could duet without anyone, who would it be?” And her answer was John Mayer!!! I knew there had to be many good reasons why I like Brooke [...]

I loved Brooke’s version of [...]

Survivor 16 Tracy Prediction About Ozzy

So Tracy was voted out, but I have to give her some credit. She stirred up some sh*t while she was there! I think she did the best job she could given her circumstances and her poor choice of alliance with Kathy and Chet. But I’m wondering about her prediction about Ozzy [...]

David Archuleta Is Back American Idol March 18

I was so happy to see that David Archuleta is back in fine form on American Idol last night (March 18 Beatles Week). He has completely recovered from his underwhelming performance from last week and was once again terrific. I thought Carly and David Cook were great last night also. I didn’t [...]

Springfield Illinois Remembering Tornado March 2006

Springfield, Illinois is my hometown and I can’t help but remember the devastating tornados that hit two years ago at this time. I remember trying to calm my kids during the storm by staying “Don’t worry, tornados never hit in cities but out in the country instead.” Boy was a wrong! I [...]
